I am finally getting some relief from my pain. My wonderful doctor put me on Lyrica, which is used to treat fibromyalgia. I haven't been diagnosed with that (yet!), but let me tell you I can tell a difference and I am so thankful! It is so hard to be in pain all day every day. It took about a week and a half after I started taking it to tell a difference, but PRAISE THE LORD I am feeling better. YAY ME!!!

No surgery for me... my options are therapy, epidural or home "tens" unit. I am choosing the latter because I don't want a shot in my neck, don't particularly want to go to Tifton 3 times a week for who knows how long and it will be convenient for me to have something I can do for myself at home. Now, if my insurance will pay I'll be relieved.
Also I was put on Lyrica for the widespread pain and Omega 3 Fish Oil for inflammation, along with the Celebrex I'm taking now for my arthritis. Hopefully some or all of this stuff will finally give me some relief.
I'm feeling pretty good today though because I got a nice shot in the hip at the doctor's today so that always perks me up a bit!!!

Well, after months of neck pain and stiffness and headaches that are almost unbearable we are heading to see a surgeon in Albany about my neck today. My head has, at times, hurt so bad I couldn't stand the pillow to touch it. While it hasn't been as bad recently it is still there... it isn't going away ... and I need to have some options. I am not anxious to just say "operate" and be done with it. I need to know if there are other options such as having physical therapy, seeing a chiropractor, etc. I really don't like the thought of going "under the knife" if I don't have to!
